The Summer Training Conference is a wonderful opportunity for you to network with other members while receiving valuable training. Exhibitors dedicated to enhancing law enforcement will be participating in this year’s conference, providing the latest police equipment, services, technology and publications.  We encourage you to visit their booths, but more importantly, we ask that you keep them in mind when making decisions to purchase equipment for your department.

The following link will allow you to register for any of our contracted hotels at a discounted group rate. Please note you must book your rooms early to receive the GACP discount and rooms are subject to availability. The cut-off for booking under the GACP room block is June 17, 2020:
Room rates are based on single or double occupancy, standard guest rooms.  Additional charges may be incurred for room upgrades, additional guest(s) staying in the room, etc. All hotel guests will be charged up to $2.50 cents per day for their room for the City of Savannah.  Please note, there is a $6.00 hotel-motel fee is imposed on each calendar night a hotel room is rented in Georgia. These charges are NOT exempt. Hotels may fill up quickly (prior to the hotel registration deadline) so we suggest you make your hotel reservations as soon as possible.  Tax Exempt Forms for both State Sales Tax and Hotel/Motel Excise Tax will be available in the conference registration app or can be downloaded from the GACP website at  Self-Parking is included for all hotels, including overflow hotels.  Valet parking may incur an additional fee. Ferry Service is available. The Savannah Belles Ferry System stops at the Convention Center (at the Westin), City Hall (at the Hyatt), and at the statue of the Waving Girl. There is NO FEE to park at the Savannah International Trade Center.

GACP provides complimentary breakfast at the beginning of each business meeting on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Refreshments will be offered between training breaks throughout the conference. Sunday evening, GACP will host a casual reception and dinner will be offered. Lunch will also be provided during Tuesday’s Board Installation Meeting at no additional charge for Active & Professional Members. Tickets will be offered on a first come, first serve basis. Business attire/uniforms are required.

Since the Board Installation Luncheon is a catered event, you are required to RSVP. Life members, spouses and guests are welcome to attend, and additional tickets can be purchased via registration form or online prior to the event. Please note, this event has limited seating, so it is imperative that you RSVP when registering. You will not be allowed to enter without a ticket.


Cancellation Policy & Status
Membership Dues must be paid before attending the Summer Training Conference. If you are unsure about the status of your membership, please contact us at 770-495-9650 or check your status online. Requests for a registration refund must be in writing.  Payment of registration fees will be expected if member preregisters but does not show. NO REFUNDS will be given after July 10, 2020 except in documented extreme health or business emergencies. Membership dues are not refundable.
